On the eve of the 1980’s the fledgling biotechnology corporation known as Megatech corp. had more to celebrate than the turning of another decade. A team of scientists, led by Japanese engineers Dr. Kamatari Hourai and Dr. Jiro Hashimoto were putting the final touches on what would be their first foray into the implementation of years of research into Cyborg technologies. This breakthrough couldn’t have come at a more important time for Megatech corp., as Cytech corp. was in the process of developing similar prototypes. The nanotechnology divisions of each corporation were far ahead of any other tech corporations at the time but Megatech kept a slight edge on Cytech with their advances in robotics and practical implementation. The competition between the two corporations was fierce during the 1970’s with each sending out press releases touting bloated estimations of their individual advancements. As Cytech would develop an artificial tendon Megatech would completely grasp cybernetic replication of the human cardiovascular system. Both companies had plenty of scientific know-how, however due to the intense competition both corporations were in financial dire straights. This situation left only one option for the team at Megatech. They must develop a working prototype for a cybernetic appendage before Cytech. To Be Continued..........................
